More Info
Casting: We will aim to double cast all of the lead roles, if you are cast in a lead role you will still be in the show on your "off night". There are plenty of roles/ensemble parts that do not require tap dancing so don't worry!

Rehearsals: Rehearsals are on Saturdays from 9am-3pm and beginning in April we add in weekday rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 3:30pm-7pm. Times will vary depending on where rehearsals are being held. Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals. Rehearsals will take place at Strath Haven Middle School, Strath Haven High School or Nether Providence Elementary School. Rehearsal locations will be listed on the rehearsal schedule. Schedules are given out 2-3 weeks at a time. Please download the calendar below to see specific dates.

Tech Rehearsals: All tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals are mandatory.

Tap Shoes: Students will be asked to provide their own tap shoes for the show if they are cast in a tapping role. If a student does not have tap shoes we have some shoes that can be borrowed but supplies are limited. Please make sure to check with the directing staff on what style of tap shoes you will need.

Other: If your child is in 4th grade you will be asked to volunteer to be back stage for a tech rehearsal or a performance.

Refund Policy:
If for some reason your child is not able to participate in 42nd Street and you notify us up to 15 days before the first rehearsal (February 19th, 2026) you will receive a 100% refund. If we are notified after day 15 but before the first rehearsal you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after the first rehearsal. If you withdraw from the show after the first rehearsal you will receive a $100 credit that can be used towards class, camp or show tuition.
